Coaching Inquiries.

I am so thrilled to offer coaching services! Although I am a licensed therapist, I find that offering coaching (instead of therapy) provides more flexibility with who I can work with, and how I can help my clients!

WHAT IS COACHING?

In coaching, my focus is on functioning, goal achievement, and guidance through normal life transitions (e.g., career, marriage/divorce, children, stress, and so on). I do not provide formal diagnoses or bill insurance, but I will definitely help walk you through the process if I suspect a diagnosis (like ADHD, depression, etc) and how to get the support you need from your medical team.

DO I HAVE TO LIVE IN COLORADO TO MEET WITH YOU?

You don’t, which is my favorite part of coaching! I have clients all across the United States (and the world!) We meet via Zoom.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

I offer a sliding fee scale (based on your own ability to pay - no need to prove hardship, I trust you) - of $125-$175 per 50 minute session. Many clients prefer to meet weekly, but there is no set rule! Some clients like to meet every other week, or just do monthly/bi-monthly check-ins. We can tailor the schedule to meet your needs.

DO YOU OFFER EMERGENCY CRISIS SERVICES?

I do not offer emergency or crisis services. Please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital in an emergency.

WHAT IS YOUR COACHING STYLE?

I tend to be very relaxed and authentic in session - I was never good at playing the stuffy (silent, nodding) therapist role. On top of my formal education and training (I have a Master’s Degree in Couple and Family Therapy, and a PhD in Medical Family Therapy, and am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), I rely heavily on my intuition. One funny thing about me - often, if I yawn in a session, it’s a sign (like a metal detector in the sand) to dig deeper into whatever we were talking about when I started to yawn!

I often use things like Emotional Freedom Technique/Tapping and other energy healing modalities. I have been known to pull a card or two as well - which I’m always happy to do if it fits for clients! I have many clients who are fellow therapists, which feels like a big compliment as a therapist who went rogue (doing coaching) :) The more I grow and learn myself, the more I expand my practice and how I show up for my clients. I like to use tools from all sorts of toolboxes, from evidence-based “traditional therapy” tools to more intuitive, woo-woo tools (like energy work, visualization, intuitive messages, and so on). I welcome you to ask any questions that you have, I am an open book!

“Christine’s coaching has been an integral piece in my getting through the challenging year which combined the pandemic and the cancellation of my wedding and a major career change. Christine is great at leading me to the answer, which seems so obvious when she and I are working through it. Working with Christine has directly led to me creating a more observational self - which has helped me avoid getting too heated and allowed me to have really useful and meaningful conversations with my partner. She has empowered me to have tough conversations and define boundaries and all in all it’s made my life more enjoyable, happier and calmer. I can’t say enough good things about her!”

“Christine is very smart, full of warmth and kindness. She has insight into the lost parts of me that I’m hoping to recapture and find. Wanting each week to give me the space, time, and grace to let me grow. Showing me the path to find myself and climb while simultaneously allowing me to fall and fail without judgment. She is a safe space in a sometimes harsh world.”

In just a couple months, Christine's coaching has helped me grow greater awareness of my feelings and needs, and identify unhelpful patterns that I can more consciously try to address. This is due in a large part to her thoughtful and directed questions that usually lead to honing in on underlying issues or open up another facet to discuss. It's the first time I've tried any sort of coaching or therapy and I feel like it's coming at a wonderful time in my life, as I shift careers, mindsets, and prepare to start a family. Her coaching is invaluable, and she's also just a wonderful person to talk to. I happen to know a couple of the other boss ass ladies she coaches as well, and I bet a gathering of Christine and all her coachees would be an amazing cornucopia of strong, intelligent, beautiful, self-actualized humans.
